Shakira is adding some excitement to her media schedule. After dropping her much-awaited album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, the famous Colombian singer is scheduled to make a guest appearance on the popular YouTube talk show, Hot Ones, this Thursday (April 4th).
Since the release of her latest album, Shakira has been keeping herself busy with various engagements. Following the album drop on March 22, she dazzled fans with a live performance in the heart of Times Square in New York City on March 26. Recently, she graced the cover of Allure magazine, but faced some criticism for her thoughts on Barbie.
The latest challenge on Shakira’s plate? Tackling the infamous “Wings of Death” with host Sean Evans. Known for putting celebrities in the hot seat, Evans conducts interviews while his guests chow down on 10 increasingly spicy chicken wings. This twist on a traditional interview promises to bring out some unexpected reactions from Shakira.
Shakira will be the next Latine star to brave the spicy challenges on the 23rd season of Hot Ones. The previous Latine guest was Ice Spice, who appeared just a week before Shakira on March 28th. In her interview with Evans, Ice Spice discussed her upcoming album Y2K and explained some Gen Z slang. Unfortunately, the rapper from the Bronx couldn’t handle the heat of the final wing and had to tap out after tasting the notorious “Da Bomb” sauce.
Other prominent Latin figures appearing in the well-known hot wing program are Carmelo Anthony, Cardi B, Anitta, Pedro Pascal, and Jenna Ortega.
